CS Unitec's MABasic line of magnetic drills consists of powerful and reliable machines at an affordable price, a perfect blend of power, endurance and economy. The MABasic 400 magnetic drill is a heavy-duty, workhorse with: 9.5 Amp motor, 2-speed gearbox (430/760RPM), and a 6-1/3" stroke. The MABasic 400 drills up to 1-5/8" dia. with annular cutters in structural steel and other metals. The drill accepts cutters with a 3/4" Weldon Shank. With included drill chuck, this model easily converts to a standard drill press for conventional twist drilling up to 5/8" diameter. Compact (14" tall) and lightweight (27 lbs.), the MABasic 400 is easily portable to the jobsite, making it the hole-cutting solution for steel fabricators and contractors, as well as plant maintenance operations.The MABasic 400 is equipped with an internal automatic lubrication system that increases the life of annular cutters by reducing friction and wear. The Electronic Safety Shutoff Sensor automatically shuts down the drill if the magnet loses contact with the material, protecting both operator and equipment. The machine's magnet has a holding strength of 3,080 lbs.
